Lensbaby I am in love.....
A few weeks ago I got my first lensbaby lenses. At first I was a little anxious about it because I wasn’t sure that I would actually like the blur, which is silly because I have been using a tilt shift preset in Lightroom for years and I love it. But I was scared that I wouldn’t be able to control the blur the way I can with a preset. I have fallen hard for these lenses though. Are they different?- yes. Do they have a learning curve? - yes. Are they fun? - oh hell yes!
So I have been playing with these lenses like a woman obsessed and I know that I love them with flowers and plants but I really needed to know how I felt with them and architecture. Let’s face it, living in Vienna you know that I am going to be taking an awful lot of photographs of architecture and I needed to know that I could make these lenses work for me. So I have been playing for the last two weeks and having a lot of fun.
Now all I need is more time and a good set of shoes so I can keep walking! I just want to be out playing more!
After falling so hard for the lensbaby lenses I ordered the lensbaby optic 80 and unfortunately when it arrived I discovered that the one I received was faulty. I have been trying to get it exchanged but even though I have written to the company I bought it from 3 times, I still haven’t heard back from them. I wish that it was easier to get lensbaby lenses in Europe.
Honestly if I could afford it I would buy every single lensbaby product I could! They are a lot of fun and I agree with the idea that they help you see the world in a new way.
