Origami in Flight

This week I thoroughly enjoyed taking part in the Flourish 5 day pattern challenge. I wish I could say that I designed a pattern a day but at the moment with the kids schooling online thanks to lockdown who has the time! My hat goes off to the teachers out there, they are super heroes!

I wanted to design something that was both simple and elegant this week and my go to for both of those things is Japan. It’s been well over a year now since we left Japan and I still miss it terribly!

I have never designed anything using the Japanese origami cranes before and am very happy with how this turned out. I used my own photographs for drawing references for the bird formations etc. I thoroughly enjoyed making this pattern and I may have to order some duvet covers with this because Navy is my favourite colour.
