The time has come, the Walrus said, To talk of many things....

We are now in a new country and that verse from Alice in Wonderland keeps popping into my head:

“The time has come, The Walrus said,

To talk of many things:

Os shoes - and ships - and sealing wax -

Of cabbages - and kings -

And why the sea is boiling hot -

And whether pigs have wings.”

Let me tell you though moving countries with teenagers is not advised haha. My kids have been great but watching them has broken my heart many times over.

I am older and stronger and done this too many times, I have learn’t to focus on the positives. It’s hard and you have to be kind to yourself.

So currently I am in the thick of it all. I am hoping that in the next month or so things will settle a bit and I can get back to exploring with the camera and get back to designing. The work of moving though is not over yet.

The hardest part of a move is not the physical work, of which there is a lot, its not even the discomfort of the unknown, which there is also a lot, its the psychological side, the pull back and forth in your mind. The way you talk to yourself and the way you look at things, these can be hard to control and it isn’t easy to stay positive all the time. If you stop to think too much you well - think too much and that can be very difficult. For me personally I just have to keep reminding myself - just get on with it. I just spend time moving forward and when I am tired I rest. The other thing that helps me a lot - Lists! I am constantly writing or updating lists.

So that is where I am currently at. Wish me luck.
