I grew up in Africa and was a complete tomboy. It’s not something I have ever really grown out of. I don’t wear dresses and I am not a huge fan of makeup. We are still all flowers in our own way though hey! I have to admit dress or no dress, make up or no make up I have met a good few spiky flowers like myself in my time lol! So this one is for all my fellow Spiky Flowers :)

I wanted to make a repeat pattern to go with my Spiky Flower illustration but I didn’t want it to be an obvious link but rather stand on it’s own legs. At first I wasn’t so sure about having text in the pattern but I like it and it’s a nice other option. This is definitely not the end of my love affair with Spiky flowers though as I love Cacti and have my own little cacti family at home.

But I have, no surprise, made lots of repeat patterns with Cacti!
